Mission
Evergreen Sports Academy
Here at Evergreen Sports Academy we provide athletes with opportunities to truly grow in their specific sport and in their overall athletic development. We strive to provide all of the necessary tools for athletes to develop in a positive and motivating environment.
This means teaching athletes about setting goals and not being afraid to work for those goals; teaching athletes the importance of being on-time and being prepared mentally and physically for training; and teaching athletes the importance of discipline, listening, hard work and mental toughness. Our athletes will learn to support teammates through shared struggles to work hard, achieve goals, and become their best selves.
What Parents Are Saying
“My boys started out with 1 hr ESA clinics that were run so well that both boys dramatically improved their ball handling and skill level. Moreover, the season coaches that ESA has recruited are top notch, bringing a whole new level of basketball IQ to the boys.”
“Our kids have been consistently working with Evergreen Sports Academy and Coach Taylor for several months now. Performance gains were obvious in a matter of weeks. Not only did our kids notice, but so did their coaches and peers. More importantly, our kids look forward to going to every session and view Coach Taylor as an incredibly positive role model (even though she pushes them)!”
Why Choose ESA
Where competition builds character.
Competitive Environment
ESA teaches players what it means to play for a competitive program through team tryouts, multi-level team acceptances, practice player offers, and cuts.
Positive Instruction
ESA facilitates a positive practice and game environment for all ages and all levels of players, coaches and parents.
Coaching for the Future
We are not just coaching a game. At ESA, we are teaching kids core values that they will carry with them well beyond their sports careers and into their futures.
Athletic Development
ESA is passionate about holistic athletic development and injury prevention. We encourage multi-sport athletes as well as provide agility training for teams and individuals.
Focused on Growth
We are focussed on the long term growth of our individual athletes, not on the season record of wins or losses.
Sportsmanship
Our players work as a team, play as a team, and support each other as a team. Learning and practicing good sportsmanship is required for our players, coaches, and parents.
FAQ
Common questions.
What age groups does ESA serve?+
ESA programs are open to athletes in 1st through 8th grade. We have teams and training options for a range of skill levels within each grade group.
How do tryouts work?+
Tryouts are held at the beginning of the school year and are used to build teams for both our fall 3v3 and winter 5v5 seasons. Our goal isn't just to find the best players — it's to find the best fit for each player. We place athletes where we believe they'll grow the most and have the best experience.
Does my child need prior experience to join?+
Not necessarily. Competitive teams have a higher bar, but Camps & Clinics are open to all skill levels. If you're unsure, reach out and we'll point you in the right direction.
Can my child play multiple sports?+
Absolutely — we actively encourage it. Multi-sport athletes are better athletes, and we do our best to work around scheduling conflicts. There are no punishments or consequences for missing ESA events due to another sport.
How much does it cost?+
Pricing varies by program and season. Full details are available on each program's page when you go to register. Feel free to contact us directly if you have questions before signing up.
How do I register?+
Use the Details links next to each program or event — these will take you to the program details page where you can review everything before registering. From there you'll be redirected to Play Metrics to complete registration and payment. Season dates and deadlines are listed in the schedule section above.
